How Successful Organizations Achieve Trusted Self-Service

The most successful healthcare organizations have analytics practices that produce trusted, self-service solutions for the enterprise that empower team members to act on the information they deliver.

During this time, we'll share the key things these organizations successfully execute on every day to make the strategic goal of actionable analytics come to life in a governed and scalable fashion.

Key takeaways from this session include:

Visualizing Brighter Outcomes for Children with Critical Illness

Medical advances and enhanced technology generate data at an astonishing rate, challenging physicians to work efficiently to empower clinical decisions and discovery. In this session, we show how we use Tableau to decipher this massive data into actionable knowledge leading to evidence-based decision making with scientific processes and relevant analytics, leveraging the data for research, quality improvement, and care at the bedside.

Key takeaways from this session include:

  • What helps drive adoption of analytical tools
  • How daily reports ensure adherence to care protocols and standards
  • How TCH drove change to improve outcomes for children
Driving Organizational Change through Trusted Analytics

Understanding enterprise performance in healthcare is no small undertaking. Building the foundation to deliver exceptional analytics based on trusted metrics requires buy-in from executive leadership and a willingness to work through challenges and barriers.

The Strategic Analytics team, established in late 2021, has rapidly positioned itself as a center of expertise for this type of work at UC Davis Health by leveraging a specialization staffing model and implementing best practice data and business intelligence architectures. The result? The team has created the organization’s first ever balanced scorecard in less than six months, setting the stage for the enterprise to have one trusted source for understanding organizational performance at-a-glance, all without duplicating or displacing any existing BI resources.

During this session, we’ll cover how UC Davis executed on creating and adopting game-changing analytics and how they are pushing these same best practices to the rest of the organization.

Key takeaways from this session include:

  • How UC Davis is overcoming barriers to aligning stakeholders on metrics and targets
  • Understand how the right governance strategy can build trust and accelerate adoption
  • Learn how best practices for governance and self-service are being modeled and pushed to the enterprise
Through The Looking Glass: Health Equity in Clinical Quality Data

The Clinical Data & Analytics team at UChicago Medicine has integrated an equity lens across a number of quality and operational dashboards.

In a rapid-fire format focused on visualizing equity, we will present case studies of dashboards that touch clinical quality areas including population health, patient access, social determinants of health and more.

Key takeaways from this session include:

  • Learn how to integrate an equity lens into healthcare dashboards
  • Understand common barriers to visualizing equity data in healthcare today
