Artificial intelligence is at the forefront of innovation for most health systems, mainly for its ability to remove the bulk of the manual work required for many administrative tasks. During our Innovation Day, a portion of our team developed and trained a document processing model to automatically extract and export data from PDFs into a formatted Excel file. This solution explores innovative ways to improve upon existing solutions, and allows analysts to spend less time searching for their data and retyping the information on PDFs, and more time on utilizing the information from this solution for advanced analytics.
We’re also focusing on internal uses for AI here at Prominence. When we improve our operations, we can be even more efficient in our customer projects and dedicate even more time to moving mountains for our customers. Our team divides our Innovation Day into internal and external projects, making sure that, while we develop bleeding-edge solutions for our customers, we’re focusing on our internal growth and company health. We’ve developed an AI Assistant for our project management team, leveraging AI to standardize our approach to documentation and communication internally. This AI-powered bot can take on some of the onus of manual work for our project management team, while they focus on delivering innovative data enablement solutions for customers.
A common pain point in healthcare analytics is the lack of standardization and manual work required to analyze clinical data. These notes contain free text, which has historically required a decent amount of manual work to standardize, in order to allow for effective analytics. Our team has built upon the innovative RAG Workflows we’re already implementing to improve the efficiency and capabilities of this solution. Our solution automates the standardization of this data, allowing for easy use of this data for LLM and AI solutions.
As organizations expand their analytics and data enablement solutions, cost is often at the forefront of their internal reporting needs. They’ve invested in this new solution, but is it worth it? How does the cost compare to a solution from a different platform? Our team has created a model to track and visualize spend with their current platform usage compared to projected spend with another platform. With this tool, customers can assess the value they’re receiving from the investments they’ve made.
